Side one: professional voice-over artists and storytellers in Ghana license their voice as a persona that brands and creators can hire for agreed uses, with per-project royalties paid in ₵. Side two: families preserve a grandparent's or parent's voice for consented personal use — narrated children's bedtime stories, Twi folk tales, memorial tributes — with strict consent, audit logs, and no commercial use without explicit permission.

Ethical checklist — non-negotiable

Written consent captured on upload, with scope and expiry.
No impersonation of living people without their express consent.
No political persuasion or scam-adjacent use cases, ever.
Every output watermarked with a persona-identity marker.
Audit log of every generation, exportable by the persona owner.
Revocable — subject can withdraw consent and all stored voice data is purged within 30 days.

Voice recordings are protected under the Copyright Act, 2005 (Act 690) and administered in part by collective management societies (GHAMRO, GSAPRA). Personal data in voice recordings is protected by the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843); GeraPersona is registered with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) as a data controller. For voice-overs performed under contract, the performer's moral rights are preserved on every generation.

Persona-owner royalty — 60% of every licensed use, paid by MTN MoMo or bank.
